Debit Cards
In order to use a Debit Card as a method of payment at time of rental the following policy must be met -
1. Debit Card must have a Visa, Master Card, or Discover logo.
2. Debit Card and Drivers License must be in same name.
3. Driver must provide current proof of insurance showing driver name as insured.
4. Debit Card must have available funds of USD/200.00 plus estimated amount of rental charges to be taken as a deposit at time of rental. Upon return of the vehicle unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor. Due to your Banks processing standards for Debit Card transactions it can take up to 14 days for a credit to appear on your account. The rental company will not be responsible for any returned checks or insufficient fund charges or bank fees related to this process.

Major credit cards Credit cards are accepted from Visa, Master Card, Discover, or American Express. Valid drivers license and credit card must be in the same name. Credit card must have available funds equal to the estimated amount of rental charges. At time of rental credit card funds will be taken as a deposit against rental charges. Unused funds will be returned through the credit card processor after vehicle return. Due to bank processing it can take between 2 to 5 days to appear back on your account when using this form of payment.

Cash Rentals
Cash is not accepted as a qualifying Method of Payment.

Prepaid Cards
Prepaid Visa/MasterCard are not accepted as a form of payment at time of rental pickup.

Payment at Car Return
Debit cards, prepaid Visa/MasterCard, and cash are always accepted as payment upon return.

For airport shuttle, use airport courtesy phone board to call Fox Rent-A-Car, or call us directly at 616-698-9595. The shuttle will arrive in minutes. Outside of normal business hours (8am-6pm Monday-Friday) call 616-295-2696.

LDW
Loss Damage Waiver is available to all renters. For an additional daily charge, the renter is relieved of all financial responsibility for the loss or damage to the rental car, as long as the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the Rental Agreement. Cost is USD/14.99 to USD/34.99 per rental day depending on the vehicle type and duration of rental - the exact amount is available with your car quote.

Minimum Age for renters and drivers is 18.
NOTE Renters and drivers between the ages of 18 and 20 are subject to an underage charge of USD/50.00 per day. Renters and drivers between the ages of 21 and 25 are subject to an underage charge of USD/15.00 per day.

One way rentals are not available. All rental vehicles must be dropped off at the location from which they were originally rented. Renters are responsible for all charges incurred by the company related to getting the rental vehicle back to its original location.

If your reservation was confirmed directly with FOX Rent A Car by utilizing the reservation call center at 1-800-225-4369, or through the FOX Rent A Car web page at www.foxrentacar.com, please use the same source to cancel your reservation. FOX does not charge a cancellation fee, but does request such cancellation notice as soon as travel plans have changed.


If your reservation was confirmed through another provider (booking site, outside source, etc.), please use the same source to cancel your reservation. Some providers (booking site, outside source, etc.) may charge for the cancellation of a reservation if not cancelled within a specific time frame.Cancellation of a reservation directly thru FOX Rent A Car when confirmed thru another provider, may not relieve your responsibility with that provider. In order to alleviate such charges (cancellation fee or penalty) check with the provider and cancel the reservation directly with the provider.

Reservations will be honored for a period of six hours after the confirmed pick up date and time.

MULTIPLE or DUPLICATE RESERVATIONS - If you require multiple vehicles for the same or overlapping time periods, please make sure to use a different name for each reservation, otherwise the duplicate name reservation will automatically be cancelled. FOX will not be responsible for any cancelled reservations.

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental to avoid refueling charges. Renter authorizes the company to assess refueling charges and process the corresponding payments. Fuel is available to purchase in advance to avoid refueling charges. Call ahead or ask at the counter for pricing.

In case of an emergency, such as an accident, follow the instructions on the documentation in the glove box of your rental vehicle. In case of another type of breakdown, call our office at 616-698-9595 for roadside assistance to be arranged. Outside normal business hours, 616-295-2696.

Child seats are available for rent at USD/7.00 per day. Call in advance to confirm model size availability for your child. If the seat is not returned in the same condition, less normal wear and tear as received, a cleaning fee will be assessed. If the seat is damaged a repair or replacement charge will be applied.

GPS units are available for rent at USD/8.99 per day. Call in advance to confirm availability.

Other equipment may be available at time of rental. If you have any other requirements, please feel free to call in advance so that we can accommodate your needs.

Rental vehicles may travel within the following Midwest states with no additional mileage charges - Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Rental vehicles may not travel into Mexico. Rental vehicles may travel into Canada, but mileage charges may apply.

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, license, and major credit card. An additional driver charge of USD/8.00 per day per additional driver applies.

Rental Requirements - All renters and drivers will be required, at the time of rental, to supply - A valid drivers license -accompanied by proof of insurance if international, current home address -not P.O.Box, and a current phone number, along with any other documentation required for the chosen form of payment.

Early / Late Return - Your confirmed rental rate applies only to the exact reservation period specified. Returning the vehicle early or keeping the vehicle past the confirmed return date subjects you to a higher daily and/or weekly charge as follows -Late return: The rate will increase by USD/10 per day for the extension period only.Early return: The rate will increase by USD/10 per day not to exceed the original total amount of rental.

Extensions - To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. If vehicle is kept longer than the return date stated on the rental agreement/contract, the rate will increase by USD/10.00 per day. The increased rate will be charged for each day after due return date, until the vehicle is returned.

Length of Rental - agreements/contract cannot be assigned for a period longer than 30 days. If you have reserved the vehicle for a longer period of time, you must go into the location prior to the 31st day and renew the rental agreement/contract. The rate booked is guaranteed for the original duration of the reservation. Returns earlier or later than the return date on the reservation will be subject to a higher daily rate.

Grace period - A rental day is each 24 hour time period commencing with the date/time indicated on the rental agreement/contract at the time of rental. There is a 59 minute grace period for return. Hourly charges may apply after this grace period. After three hours full-day charge may apply.

Open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm Saturday and Sunday.
NOTE - The latest reservation time is 1/2 hour prior to closing.

Upon vehicle pickup, all drivers must present a valid US, Canadian, or International Drivers License. International license holders must provide proof of insurance.

Unlimited mileage is included in the cost of the rental when it travels only among the states listed above. In other cases, a mileage charge of USD/0.20 - USD/0.40 may apply depending on type of vehicle and destination.
